Starting with a bang (and a cough)

Starting the new year with a cold is bad news in anybody’s book. I’m not even sure if I was awake yesterday, except I must have been because I finished Libba Bray’s THE DIVINERS. (Go read it. Read it now.) That said, I refuse to concede January 1st as the first day of the year. From now on, January 1st a day outside the year, and 2013 actually started today. Don’t argue with me. I’ll cough on you.

So, while I’m still fighting off this wretched cold and my throat feels like a cat is trying to climb it’s way up my esophagus, the year has started off on an excellent note, as today I was accepted into the Walters Art Museum’s docent training program.

Being that I’m a tremendous dork, this is a big deal for me and I’m super excited about it. I have a year of training to get through, and by January of 2014, I should be giving tours roughly twice a week to school groups and private bookings.

If any of y’all are in Baltimore in 2014, gimme a heads up and I’ll show you around! 🙂

About Morgan Maria D'Isidoro

Morgan Maria D'Isidoro has lived in Baltimore, MD for most of her life, saving a handful of failed escape attempts. Given the murder rates, she'll probably die here too. Morgan is a writer of speculative fiction and poetry, a musician of dubious quality, cat aficionado, art history fangirl, kitchen sorceress, recovering pyromaniac, accomplished liar, and an all around person of questionable employability.
